Mike Monday "Can U Play Bass?"

Mike Monday, a producer who has been in much demand this year, having remixed Blair Bitch, DJ Remy, Motherlode and many more, delivers his latest production, Can U Play Bass?

The Original mix has a very large rolling bassline, twisted shouting vocal, driving along into some percussion which gives way to a very Jungle influenced beat, offset by funky New York style riffs.

Meanwhile, those finger lickin good Drummatic Twins add some etheral majestic strings, keeping the production to a refined minimum whilst not losing the best elements of the original mix. An atmospheric complimentary alternative to the original mix.

Having found appeal with Pete Tong and Seb Fontaine, this track may not find itself in the box of more underground DJs, but with a remix of Stage One's Space Manoeuvres under his belt for the future, 2002 looks to be an even bigger year for Mike.
