Dave Seaman - This Is Audiotherapy

Label: Audio Therapy| Release Date: 9/26/2005

Audio Therapy is five years old already and by way of celebration head honcho Dave Seaman has mixed together a compilation of exclusive new material and unreleased nuggets from the labels archives.

Featuring tracks and remixes from Kosmas Epsilon, Stel, Hybrid, Trafik, Highland and many others, 'This Is Audiotherapy' follows on from 'Across Borders : Greece' as the label's second album project, and once again the label shows commitment to the growing number of CD-DJs in addition to the vinyl purists with full unmixed tracks on the second cd and the accompanying vinyl samplers. For now, check out the details on this upcoming album, and watch out for a Dave Seaman interview and Audiotherapy label feature during September.

Audio Therapy is five years old already and by way of celebration head honcho Dave Seaman has mixed together a compilation of exclusive new material and unreleased nuggets from the labels archives.

The CD titled ‘This Is AudioTherapy’ features material from esteemed artists such as Infusion, Hybrid, Kosmas Epsilon, Phil K & Habersham and of course Dave's own Group Therapy project all mixed together with perfection. As an added bonus the second CD is unmixed and features full length versions of some of the highlights of the mixed CD together with exclusive remixes from Tonedepth & Stel, Trafik, Oliver Moldan and Steve Porter.

The CD looks set to firmly establish Audio Therapy as a label synonymous with quality that attracts some of the biggest production names in the electronica scene and confirms that Audio Therapy is one of the key independent labels. Moving with the current market demands the unmixed cd will cater for the growing number of DJs who have moved away from the world of vinyl to cds.

"Vinyl sales as a whole have been dropping over the past 12 months and we as a label have to be aware of where the market is moving. The digital format has evolved very quickly and it would seem that less and less people are buying the vinyl format. But, I still think that people like to hold and see a product at the end of the day as opposed to a computer file. The unmixed CD will satisfy the demand out there for Audio Therapy fans and will hopefully bridge the gap for people moving away from vinyl but still wanting an end product. The format worked well and was warmly received for the 'Across Borders' CD release we did last month and as with that release we will also be doing a limited edition 2 x 12” vinyl run." - Dave Seaman
