Vance Musgrove "Squelch"

Out Now on Vapour Recordings

Vance Musgrove is one of the newest signings to Vapour, spotted at gig in his native Canberra and taken under the wing of one Kasey Taylor, Vance is now ready to unleash his first production on the world, Squelch.

The Original mix starts off with some nice tech influenced synths leading into a tight padded bassline that drums along as synths sweep from left to right, crashing into the bassline on occasion. Dark sounds echo from the deepness of the soundscape giving the track a very large 3am feel, before another set of pads add a nice chord progression to the mix. The dark sound from beneath the bassline fights for attention, as the chords back off and we enter the depths once more.

Meanwhile Traveller & Quest turn the track into a more airy, faster paced workout, losing the techy elements and adding some nice snare effects, breathy vox samples, before letting loose with peaktime groove that will lead you in then take things off in another direction, adding some uplifting synths in the break and continuing the pace once more, taking the track to the next level, and guaranteeing the dancefloor to explode. Very squelchy indeed, and very nice.

Already featured on Parks and Wilson's Painting On Silence cd, and in the boxes of many top jocks, yet another future Australian talent to keep your eyes on in the future.
