Soul Breed "We Play Music"

Out Now on Navigation Records

The latest release on Navigation Records comes from across the Atlantic. For the third release the prouduction talents of US based duo Joshua Seamless and John Solskei have been enlisted under their Soul Breed guise for a track entitled 'We Play Music', with a remix coming from Wrecked Angle, hot on the heels of the release of their debut release 'Acid Funk' on Akademia Recordings

The 'Original' kicks off wih a low percussion line which runs under the main house groove of the track, building at a constant pace before some eerie sounds drop in halfway around the 'I Play' vocal, with some dark sounds drop in during the latter half. Overall nothing really that innovative, but does it's job for what it is.

'Wrecked Angle' start off sith some synth drum action on their remix, dropping into some deep sub bass breaks action as the pace picks up. Effects wash over the intricate beat patterns which melt into the vocal briefly, and ss things kick back in, some loopback beats and scratching are run over the top of this bouncing energetic breaks workout.

Whilst not on the same level quality wise as the last two releases, the Wrecked Angle Mix cuts it's own niche well enough to ensure it's one of those tracks you can rely on to get the floor moving, so in that instance check it for that mix alone, but if you're looking for a little more filth then look elsewhere.
