Seed "Blue Vibrations"

Out Now on Ritual Sounds

DJ Brian is a name some of you may already be familar with, as he's already made appearances on labels such as Moonshine and Fade over the in the US. Now he has decided to set up his own imprint to release some new material as well as to showcase some of the finest underground producers waiting to be discovered in the US. The label, Ritual Sounds is already a favourite of John Digweed, so this is a good indication he must be doing something right!! The first release on the label comes from Brian himself under the guise of Seed, with a track that was well received at this year's Miami WMC, 'Blue Vibrations'.

The 'Main Mix' is a driving tribal influenced progressive track which utilises some soft melody sweeps and a large rolling percussion line to push the groove forward in rapid fashion. Fast paced loops and effects filter over the beats but whilst the melody is nice, things seem in a rush to get somewhere where it fails to arrive.

The 'Dub' over on the b-side is slightly more laid back, with a rougher arrangement which works wonders and in some ways surpasses the original with it's early morning vibe.

The next release will come from the superb Amani Vs Teapot who have already gained support with material featured on Chris Fortier's Bedrock album. Watch out for that soon.
