RJ Project "What Color Is Love (Remixes)"

Out Now on Hooj Choons

With the Red Jerry remixes ensuring this bad boy will make it's way into many a record box, Hooj, ever being the generous people they are have ensured we have more mixes of the 'What Color..' package, so to compliment the original disc comes this disc of remixes, featuing a blissed out grooveathon from Freddy and Herman and a journey into dub courtesy of Big J himself.

City Rockers boys 'Freddy and Herman' strip it right back, ensuring Randolph gets centre stage of this mix, gorgeous melodies and chords forming the only undertones of this blissed out, crunchy balearic rework that just bubbles with confidance and ensures that this package will appeal right across the board. Masterful workmanship from this duo.

Finishing off things in fine fashion, Red Jerry delivers the 'Original Dub'. Staying faithful to the original, allowing the tightly crafted workmanship to be shown off to it's finest, things get interesting halfway through as some vocodered vox fx drift in over the uplifting piano riffs in true Steven Hawking-esque fashion. A remix that pays tribute to the original whilst coming off as very futuristic in ideas.

Possibly the finest Hooj release to come out of Hooj Towers in quite a while, and with a forthcoming RJ Project remix of Gardner and Thomas's epic 'Turn To Try', one can only wish that this marks the emergence of futher productions from Red Jerry in the near feature.
