Paul Rogers "Krafty"

Out Now on Sumsonic Recordings

Paul Rogers returns with yet another solo outing for Sumsonic, and this time he's got the superb G-Pal in tow. With Deep Dish having almost soiled their trousers to his previous release 'Lazy Monday', they have been equally as excited by the G-Pal mix, so much that they have an exclusive unreleased version for themselves. How very 'Krafty' indeed..

Paul works a deep hypnotic groove on the 'Original Mix', a large rolling bassline unleashing some pulsating synths which branch off of the main groove, before some light melodies and fx emerge to the surface, only for the volume to be slid down into the break before a rotation on it's axis spins us through sublime layer upon layer of delicious chord progression. Mesmerizing.

Spin the disc over to the other side and a dirtier house groove is immediately evidenct as G-Pal delivers the 'Pandesia Dub'. George constructs the mix slowly, carefully taking time to drop each pad into the mix sending glorious ripples through the bass. This continues up until the break where a spacial percussion line slides underneath and transports us all the way to outro. Once again some greek magic shows through.

Another quality house outing for Sumsonic, seriously rivalling Paul's earlier AA side release 'Switch / Lazy Monday' as the best release on the label this year.
