Oko Tek "Tazer / Inception"

Out Now on Music Now Records

Having a history of musical talent and a growing number of productions including a full length soundtrack for a circus, Holmes Ives is bringing in the New Year with a monster of a track on Music Now as Oko Tek. In a recent interview with Ives he describes his Oko Tek pseudonym as one that produces for the dancefloor. That is indeed the case with this upcoming release. In fact, his Oko Tek sound is even inspiring his other alias, Memnon.

Tazer is skillfully designed to subtly eat into the listener’s consciousness delivering the sneak attack of the sonic Tazer. This track is a sure to drive peak time dance floors crazy. The highly distinctive sound of the Tazer ripping through the soundscape builds with the whirring ambience to an unbelievable climax of pounding percussion and punchy synths. Pausing briefly to recharge, the engine of this track winds back up and kicks it back in with a stomping kick drum to drop you right back into the mayhem.

Inception is a warped fusion of tough percussion, growling bass lines and spooky chiming bells. With this track, Holmes delivers a minimilistic groover fitted with a collection of dark sounds to tease your eardrums.

Holmes has a bright future planned in the next year with signings to Music Now, Yoshitoshi, Choo Choo and Underground Sounds of Renaissance. Also watch for releases under Memnon and Holmes Ives.
