Narcotic Thrust Feat Yvonne John Lewis "Safe From Harm"

Out Now on Yoshitoshi Recordings

Heralded as THE track of the Winter Music Conference, ‘Safe From Harm’ gets a Yoshitoshi release complete with three exclusive Yoshitoshi remixes. Not only do you get the much championed original mix, but also the much sought after bootleg mix by Dean Coleman, a “chunky funky house” dub of Dean’s mix and a remix by the teaming of Andy Caldwell and up and coming Yoshitoshi artist Behrouz.

Narcotic Thrust is Stuart Crichton of Z Management and KISS FM DJ Andy Morris. Put those two in a room with the vocals of Yvonne John Lewis and what you get is the next ‘Hide You’ or the next ‘Rapture’. Already huge at the Winter Music conference with Danny Tenaglia, the original mix is glimmering with housed up passion. The funky bass line and funky groove hit me in a summer kind of way. The vocal creeps up on you with small snippets until “I see my reflection, I don’t like what I see… …and keep me safe from harm” busts out. The rest of the chorus finishes and is followed by a hands in the air moment. After a brief pause, the guys give you back more of that funky funk.

Danny Tenaglia - “After having this record for quite some time, then licensing the original to my Back 2 Basics compilation from day one, I was extremely pleased to hear Behrouz’s mix which is extremely smooth and deep. I also loved what Dean Coleman did, so know I have three reasons to keep this with me for some time now!”

Dean Coleman is a talented up and comer as demonstrated with his bootleg remix of “Safe From Harm”. It’s a wonder that as a national demonstrator for the Roland Corp. he didn’t realize his potential earlier. Dean made a name for himself last summer with Roger Sanchez's 'RELEASE YOURSELF' which brings us to today, where Yoshitoshi release the much sought after bootleg mix. Listen for yourself. The dub will catch you off guard.

With two releases on Yoshitoshi in 2002 "What you do in life……Echos in Eternity", and "Azab”, Behrouz is in somewhat of the Yoshitoshi spotlight. Teaming with co-producer Andy Morris to remix this track strengthens my theory. It’s smooth. It’s sprinkley. It’s deep. It has a melody. How about Tribal Trans-House? Being very well rounded, this track is striking me on all moods.

‘Safe From Harm’ is available now on Yoshitoshi. It can also be heard on Danny Tenaglia’s ‘Back To Basics’ mix compilation.
