Main Element Feat Kyla "Take Me Down"

Out Now on Silver Planet Recordings

Main Element is the brainchild of producer and doctor (yes.. he's a full time practioner of medicine), Gwill Morris. As part of the Silver Planet stable, Gwill has worked with James Holden as Ogenki Clinic in addition to many other projects. His debut release for Silver Planet was Delta Of Venus. This was followed up with the AA side release Generation/Narcosis. Now he has taken a break from his medical career, enlisting the vocal talents of his girlfriend Kyla for his latest release, Take Me Down.

A spacious intro melts into a dreamy synth line that begins to pulsate away, slowing coming into life, as a vocal sample weaves it's way between the synths before it's first appearance introduces some nice bass effects working in tandem with the synth arrangements to create a heartfelt melody that will pluck at your soul. Snares and hi-hats filter away in the background before subtle ambience enters and the main vocal makes it's long anticipated appearence, lifting the emotion of the track onto another level before we head back into the darkness, the break providing a moment of respite as the track returns to it's heavenly sounds once more to bring us back down to earth feeling warm.

Gwill enlists the help of his Australian friends Infusion for the the remix. and they rework the track into an industrial sounding slice of electronica, dark guitar stabs and deep snares snipping at the vocal, coxing Kyla to come from the shadows to showcase her amazing vocal talents before Infusion return for an encore with their fierce sounds once more. Infusion prove themselves as the prog-rockers of the 21st century, with their bullying sounds causing chaos once again on this mix.

Gwill is already working on new original material, having done remixes of Drive's The Beat Goes recently in addition to a new track called 'Time'. Further remixes of Take Me Down will also follow. Watch out for them.
