Main Element Feat Kyla "Take Me Down (Remixes)"

Out Now on Silver Planet Recordings

Take Me Down has been Gwill Morris's (aka Main Element) most popular track to date, getting support right across the board and finding a slot firmly in Sasha's record box thanks to the original mix in part, but a remix from Infusion further increased the appeal. Now more remixes come to us from Gwill himself and Harry Lemon, so let's find out how they contribute to the package.

Lemon 8 provides the remix for the a-side, taking us to the darker sound of progressive with an eerie spacial intro, edging us slowly into a punchy kick drum bassline, the arrangement flowing through and dissecting the vocal in the process, until enough energy is built to drop into the break, a moment of pure euphoria before the synth line descends back into sinister territory, getting slightly funky on the outro. Another masterful remix from the ever consisten dutch producer.

Gwill Morris returns to complete the package with his Hard Tek mix, crisp sounding synths pulsating away slowly, amidst deep and trippy snare percussion, building momentum before a rolling bassline emerges, warm pads floating over the sub bass, before the vocal rears it's head in a distorted fashion, the techy pads adding depth and atmosphere to what was already a superb track and makes this standout as one of the finer mixes over the two 12 inch slabs of wax.

With a new track, 'Time' already under his belt and many collaborations planned for the coming months, it would seem that Gwill Morris is set to feed us more aural medicine in the coming months, straight out of the Ogenki Clinic.
