JV "Into The Blue"

Out Now on Fade Records

JV is Texan producer Jason Vasilas and Into The Blue marks his first foray into the world of production. Having already got support over the past few months off limited t/p, this track in its original form has found it's way into the boxes of djs such as Jimmy Van M, Luke Fair, Danny Howells and Kasey Taylor to name but a few. Now it's been picked up for release on Fade Records and given the remix treatment from NYC producer Phil Jason, who you perhaps know better as Jas.

The Original, with its simple percussion bassline and kick drum beat is a laid back affair as subtle synths wash over the soundscape, a breathy female vox sample trickling through as atmospherics swirl around the groove. A nice slice of laid back progressive house and no mistake.

Meanwhile Jas adds his trademark style to the track, retaining the atmospheric feel of the original and giving the vocal much more of a precedence within this mix in comparison to the original. Tough beats are the order of the day here as the percussion rolls along at a dark and quite fast paced mood. The only question is what fascination does Jas have with Smurfette's panties?

Fade continue to showcase talent from right across the US and this is perhaps one of the reasons why they have become one of the most well respected labels stateside.
