H-Two Feat Leah "Burnin Fire"

Out Now on Renaissance Recordings

The latest signings to Renaissance Recordings, H-Two, aka Paul and Ben Harris are no strangers to the dance music scene, also producing as Dirty Vegas and the excellent Hydrogen Rockers.

Burnin Fire is their debut release for Renaissance, featuring their friend Leah on vocals as is normally the case with a track from these two talented producers. The Original Mix is a deep progressive workout, with Leah's evocative vocals giving the track that x ingredient that takes the track to the next level, and as the pace lifts, Leah sounds quite the Diva. A decent mix, but nothing outstanding. On the flipside of Disc One its DJ Tools time, as a dub and acapella are there for innovative use.

However, its Disc Two that has the goodies.. two remixes from one of New York's hottest production outfits of the moment, Trendroid and from the guys themselves under their Hydrogen Rockers guise. Trendoid sprinkle in some of their deep, slick percussive production onto the track, like they did to great effect on their previous remix, Superchumbo's Revolution. Light percussion, sweeping synths, cut up vocals and dark squelch stabs are the order of the day here. A growling interpretation for the darker floors. The Hydrogen Rockers mix in comparison is a filter driving progressive workout that twists and turns as it pulsates along, Perfect for building momentum towards the peak time.

Once again Renaissance manage to comisssion the right set of remixes to take a release into the stratosphere, worth checking out for the remixes alone, but dont expect too much from the Original.
