Headstate "Missing You"

Out Now on Teknology Records

Swain and Snell are probably two of the busiest producers in the progressive music scene, with over 20 aliases and much more in terms of numbers of productions over the past few years. As Headstate they have previously released Feel The Vibe on the Rhythm Syndicate imprint. Now they jet across the Atlantic, hot on the heels of a collaboration with Bill Hamel and deliver a new Headstate track entitled Missing You.

The Original Mix is is a cornucopia of twisted bass, a minimal percussion line fuelling a pace that is only highlighted even more by the captivating vocal of "Its been a long time.." and as layer upon layer of drums and synths wash over the track you are left trying to catch your breath. For those who find the arrangement and groove more interesting. skip to the dub which is a vocaless version of this mix with a slightly more twisted vibe.

Rounding off the package is a mix from the guys under their normal guise, a deep brooding rework with a hypnotic array of broken beats and a large sub bass line to dazzle your senses.

Perhaps one of Swain and Snell's finest moments in a long time and easily one of Teknology's finest releases this year.
