Greed Feat Lesley "Strange World (UK Remixes)"

Out Now on Devolution Records

Greed is Zurich based producer Tobi Wirz, responsible for running the SOG Records imprint and many remixes and productions including 'Promises' and this track 'Strange World'. 'Strange World' is without a doubt his most popular track to date as evidenced by the number of times it's been released, and now it's been picked up by UK label Devolution for another outing with remixes from Van Bellen And Lemon 8.

Harry Lemon quickly gets to work on his mix, the vocal intro soon giving way to trademark 'Lemon 8' percussion and sounds, melting together into a deep and hypnotic groove that subtly sets the mood for what is to come. As the vocals filter in over the cascading sounds a sense of warmth is emited, something rather emotive and captive indeed. Synth lines weave in and out of the groove with precision execution. Harry Lemon isn't just a producer, more an assassin when it comes down to the small details, and this mix easily slams it's way into the top three things he's ever done. Mind blowingly good stuff from the Inner Sanctuary.

'Van Bellen' follows up on the flip in the hopes of keeping up the dutch quality, and his mix takes a more laid back contemporary feel, smokey chords and broken beats drifting over a minimal house groove. In light of all the dancefloor orientated mixes of this track over the years, this is a welcome alternative, and whilst it has no way of touching Lemon 8's mix, it is worth checking out nonetheless.

Watch out for forthcoming material from Greed including 'I See You' and a collaboration with Van Bellen entitled 'City Lights'. His collaboration with Blackwatch, 'Gentle Rain' is also rumoured to be due for release in the future at some point too.
