Beber & Tamra "You Wonder (Starecase Mixes)"

Out Now on MOB Records

Beber and Tamra achieved massive success with their single Travellin On, which was remixed by breakbeat masters Koma And Bones and gained a huge amount of club and radio support, as well as the interest of many major labels looking to sign this talented duo.

You Wonder is the eagerly anticipated follow up, the second single to be taken from the forthcoming album 'Suite Beat Boy'. The original is quite an interesting departure from the normal breakbeat template, featuring chrouses and full vocal that lays perfectly over the track. However, the mixes on offer here are by those Bristol boys Starecase, who deliver their first set of full on breakbeat mixes in quite a while.

Starting with light percussion that leads into a looping sample, underpinned by an evil, supremly ill sounding bassline that drives along, subsiding to let Tamra's superb vocals take centre stage, dropping the beats out at the end to leave just the vocal, before introducing a bass blowing reverb build up that is guaranteed to blow up the dancefloor the track powers right on. For the darker break sets theres a superb complimentary dub on the flip that is equally as good, twisting the vocal during its minimal use.

Once again, Starecase show they can still cut it in the breakbeat scene, as well as produce on a much diverse scale, whilst Beber and Tamra demonstrate ideas to take the breakbeat sound into the appeal of a wider audience
