Tiny Elvis "Casino"

Out Now on Dirty Blue Records

Tiny Elvis is the alter ego of Ictus, Dirty Blue and Minimal stalwarts. Some of you may remember the previous single 'Tempted' which received support from many djs, including James Zabiela who was a huge fan of the track. Now the follow up arrives in the form of 'Casino' with label boss Alex Buchanan providing the remix.

Wasting no time in getting down to business, the 'Original' introduces itself via some heavy bass and shaker percussion, which sets up the mood nicely for the warm chords and hypnotic groove that soon enters the fray. Moving on, some tasty loop action allows some vox action to be teased in, with a big buzzing effect adding a BIG feel to the track. It's one of those little gems that starts off fairly slowly, but when it opens up, carnage ensues. Test it out for yourself and watch the results speak for themselves.

The 'Kingkade Mix' sees Alex take the track on a deeper, twisted tangent with delayed effects, tight drum programming and a chugging groove very reminiscent of Peace Division and much of NRK's output. A nice mix which compliments the original and adds a much needed extra dimension to the overall package.

Whilst not up there with 'Tempted' in terms of potential, this is not a bad little number by any means and will make a worthy addition to any record box that has room for it.
