Solar Stone "Solarcoaster (Remixes Disc Two)"

Out Now on Lost Language

In addition to the first disc of remixes of 'Solarcoaster', Lost Language have comissioned an additional set of mixes for the latest Solar Stone single, and these are quite different indeed. Read on to find out more..

Steve Murano is becoming one of the hot commodities in the trance world, having being obtained for many projects. On 'Solarcoaster' they take the original and practicaly rework it, a laid back loop sitting under some electro synths that gain prominence as the bass edges in. Large electro riffs hammer the groove, easing off for the vocal reprise and a deep reinterpretation of the main guitar hook, which leads into uplifting strings during the break, with a suprising twist coming at the end in the form of cut up analogue style beats. A mix that looks further than the dancefloors of Gatecrasher and Godskitchen with a broad appeal that will work for many.

'Greg Murray' takes things deeper on his rework, with a progressive-edged groove sitting underneath layers of arpeggiated melodices and synth delays. A nice alternative mix to the original which oozes ambience whilst at the same time holding a dark edge that will work in warm ups or during a change of pace in a set.

An interesting set of mixes that show Lost Language's catalogue is not aimed at the trance end of the spectrum all the time, with both mixes easily able to slot into a progressive or techno set. Evidence that the music scene of today is opening up more and more. It will be interesting to see what Lost Language delivers in the coming months.
