Seroya "Only Your Love"

Holmes Ives returns to Shinichi on the remix duties for Seroya´s “Only Your Love.” His prior release on this sister label to Yoshitoshi, “Eros” was a huge track, and continuing with his success, his remix package here is blowing away the critics. It has also landed on Deep Dish´s Global Underground “Toronto.”

With a deep warm bass line and beautiful pieces of ambience, Holmes drifts “Only Your Love” (the Holmes Ives Remix) in with a soft touch. He delivers a brilliant slow groover that is dark and moody. The tracks vibe is softly accented by Salome´s enchanting vocals furthering its moody depths.

With the Dub version, Holmes throws down a chugging bass line and punches that with a tight drum arrangement. This forceful dub still carries much of the soft mood from the remix, but it has a harder drive built into it. As my personal favorite of the two remixes, the Dub ranks as one of my favorite tracks of the year.

Holmes has a special relationship with Seroya. Seroya, otherwise known as Salome Hamidi, is behind the beautiful exotic vocals of Memnon´s (Holmes Ives) “Desire” on Music Now and Holmes´ smash hit on Bedrock, “Mystic Roya.” Additionally, Holmes has produced Seroya´s “Mystic Maah” album which “is a lush sensual journey, a must listen.” With such a history behind this relationship, it is no wonder that their talents have aligned themselves in such a way as to produce such a beautiful track as “Only Your Love”.
