Rene Amesz "I've Been Away / Funky"

Out Now on Lowriders Recordings

Rene Amesz returns with a new single following on from his release on Sander Kleinenberg's Little Mountain label. Joining the Lowriders roster with this new two tracker, Rene continues to develop his skills as a producer and is widely tipped as being one to watch in the coming months, and has many projects lined up well into the start of 2005, and this excellent single should more than whet the average music lover's appetite.

'I've Been Away' is a massive vocal led house track that builds on the chunky grooves that are very much a Rene trademark, with some big room dynamics added for good measure. Tough, rocking beats carry the track along, with some subtle melodies providing more than effect support whilst the vocal weaves its way through this sleek and sexy track.

However, if that's a bit too cute for you, then 'Funky' will be more up your street, as it takes us into the dark and dirty territory that was recently visited on the track 'Back Into The Funk'. This time around Rene keeps the beats looser and uses a sublime chord sweep to grab your attention, with analogue sounds and a big vocal stab ensuring this kicks a hole in any soundsystem.

I'm glad to say after a fall from grace recently, Rene Amesz has totally redeemed himself with this excellent single, and having heard some of his upcoming material, can happily say that he is someone that in the coming months will be up there amongst those pushing the traditional house sound in new and exciting directions.
