Precision "Where Do You Dance / Comet Charge"

Out Now on Zero Tolerance

The duo of Gab Oliver and Kaybee return to start off Zero Tolerance's new year with their second single under the Precision moniker. Picking right up where 'Nightmare' left off, both 'Where Do You Dance' and 'Comet Charge' remain true to the dark template that has become a trademark of Zero Tolerance, but develop it into new directions with their forward thinking ideas, bringing the label back to the forefront of the minds of vinyl junkies at the same time.

The minimal beats that lead us into 'Where Do You Dance' set the tempo for this haunting breakbeat workout. Heavy basslines and pulsating synths work in tandem, creating a trippy groove that emits a spine chilling feel as it vibrates. Futuristic effects and a mysterious vox sample fill out the groove, but the focus remains on the sparse melodies and bouncing beats that prove to be the key elements here, keeping the momentum tight but never out of control. A forward thinking piece of work, with a potent breakdown to die for.

'Comet Charge' sticks to a similar tempo, but does it damage with some big melodic key arrangements that float aimlessly over the two step style breakbeats below. Deep atmospherics and quirky effects add some depth to the track, and whilst it falls slightly short of the quality of 'Where Do You Dance', it's a nice little filler track nevertheless.

A welcome return for a label that has faded into the background over the past few months, and it will be interesting to see how Zero Tolerance intend to develop the ideas and direction of the label over the coming months.
