Paul Rogers "Krafty (Remixes)"

Out Now on Sumsonic Recordings

It's been over a year since 'Krafty' first appeared, prior to it's appearance on Deep Dish's Global Underground Toronto cd, but almost a year later and more mixes are here, with the unreleased G-Pal mix off that aforementioned cd sitting alongside a mix from Sumsonic's own Darko. For fans of the Deep Dish cd this is great news as the G-Pal mix was one of the standout tracks of the cd, which the demand for has now been answered.

Keeping all the best elements of his main remix, G-Pal's 'Sea Paradise Mix' sees George take things on a deeper, more hypnotic journey, a solid groove pushing things along right from the start. String sections rise up and over the top, as dark stabs send ripples throughout the bassline, setting the mood nicely as the track builds upwards. Ethereal sounds add a divine feel to the mix, climaxing in a heavenly breakdown before stepping down nicely into a tranquil outro which brings things back to a more grounded place.

Darko strips it down for a more traditional 4/4 style rework, dropping in techno stabs and a wild acid bassline. This rough and twisted remix uses hardly any of the elements of the original aside from one hook, but proves that the hook is all that was needed as it bumps and grinds it's way out of the speakers, and will without a doubt get the dancefloor doing the same thing.

Both mixes add an extra dimension to the overall 'Krafty' package, and makes the track more accessible to those looking for mixes that, whilst doing that they do in a fairly straightforward fashion, guarantee results and reaction time after time, and that's where this 12" single's strengths lie.
