Meat Katie "K-Hole"

Out Now on SAW Recordings

Known for his many releases on Kingsize Records Mark Pember aka Meat Katie delivers a raunchy breakbeat number on the infamous SAW Recordings. This 12” is already receiving broad DJ support spanning from breaks legend Lee Combs to Radio One’s Pete Tong. Mark is is currently working on his new (3rd) artist album.

Meat Katie’s original mix is a full on breakbeat beast. Apparently Mark had prime time dance floor rocking in mind when he created K-Hole because that is exactly what he delivered. Creative vocal chunks add a pseudo melody to the raw breaks and build you to a mind bending peak. It is seriously a crazy peak with all sorts of creative tricks thrown into the mix. It’s dark, it’s crazy, it’s a K-Hole after all.

Flip this record over if you can ever take your needle off of it to find one of Mark’s long time production allies, Elite Force. These two have had several experiences working together, most recently remixing tracks such as “Toba” for Meat Katie’s production album. This remix, while still chunky, offers less of a breakbeat backbone but the tremendous force is still massive. This track is a perfect fit for those DJs seeking a trance feel with meat on the bones.

Mark continues with releases for a number of other quality labels including TCR (JuJu with Elite Force) & Bedrock (I Feel it) with Dark Globe. All this is on top of running his own label, Whole 9 Yards.

SAW is one of the strongest US based labels coming into 2003. Watch for their next release, Subway Baby’s “Tribes Of Khan Gala.”
