Matthew Dekay & Norman Soares "Move Yo / More Money More Powder"

Out Now on Lowriders Recordings

Not a month seems to go by without at least one single or remix with the name Matthew Dekay, and March is no exception as he teams up with Norman Soares for a funky two tracker which forms the latest release on Lowriders, and looks set to be the label's biggest release to date.

'Move Yo' stakes it's claim with a big tribal groove, pounding drums and cool bass filling out the bottom end of the track. Huge sweeps conceal a massive siren effect that climbs through the main section of the track, drowning out the vocal hook that carries it along. As each section passes, the vocal lures you in, with some nifty synth work keeping the groove bumping along, putting the icing on the cake of this scorching hot track.

'More Money More Powder' is cut from the funky side of Matthew Dekay's sound that we have grown accustomed to over the last few months, an incessant groove taking us through waves of gorgeous atmospheric waves and funky licks with a seriously addictive drum line making its presence felt. Subtle drops generate a big room sensibility to the track, building to a melodic climax where key arrangements continue to lift the upbeat mood, holding it until the final beat, in the unmistakable style that can only be Dekay's.

The biggest release so far on Lowriders, and it will be interesting to see what Nick K and Matthew Dekay have lined up to follow in it's footsteps.
