Martin Accorsi & Jeremy Bassetti "Until The End"

Out Now on EQ Grey

Martin Accorsi and Jeremy Bassetti are two producers and djs living in Florida, who have produced and remixed either collectively or individually for labels including Grounded Music, Bedrock, Yoshitoshi to name but a few. Indeed, Bassetti has appeared on EQ Grey before, but this time he teams up with Martin for a new single, following on from a recent outing on Sondos, This particular track has already found it's way onto Global Underground Toronto as it's a favourite of Deep Dish. The track in question, is 'Until The End'.

The duo's 'Original Mix' is built around a simple chugging house groove which keeps the momentum pushing firmly forward. However, it is the extra dynamics that make it stand out from the pack, the thick percussive groove and big atmospheric sweeps playing a big part in particular. Hypnotic drum loops pull a subtle melody that lurks within to the surface whilst the sweeps conceal an emotive vocal stab that proves the turning point in the track, showcasing itself fully during a long and eerie break, dropping back into the drums in cascading fashion for a spacious yet dark outro to put the icing on the proverbial cake!

Over on the flip, the duo's 'Long Flight Mix' takes the pace down a few notches and uses a darker, cosmic groove and slower seperated drum stabs to create a brooding soundscape within which spacial fx and more sinister atmospherics shape a altogether more evil darker dub interpretation of the track for the deeper sets.

Another big release for EQ, leading nicely into forthcoming singles from Jono Fernandez and Scrambler. The label may be looking to it's home roots for a change, but when you hear these forthcoming tracks you will understand why. Keep your eyes peeled for those, and keep your ears perked for this.
