Introvert "5AM Illusions"

Out Now on Aurium Recordings

Finnish Jukka Varis's latest work "5AM Illusions" has just hit the shelves on Aurium Recordings, with a hot remix to package the release up from René Amesz. Introvert first started turning heads when his bootleg of the Björk classic "Jóga" was dropped by Zabiela in his 2004 Essential Mix. His track "Seaside Floater" was also used by Way Out West on the second disk of their album "Don't Look Now".

The Original Mix is a lush and breezy affair, with the underlying melodies subtly taking hold of the listener and drawing them within. Overlapping melodies create a complex composition which remains captivating throughout, and truly highlight the level of skill and talent that Varis has.

René Amesz brings his cheeky groove along to his interpretation, toughening up the percussion and adding his trademark dirty bassline. The atmosphere of the Original Mix is retained, and actually creates an interesting contrast between the lush melody and the dirty underlying elements. One of my current hot picks, and can be heard in __Spincast 010.

Another fine production to come from Introvert, and we will certainly be hearing from him much more in time to come. The track has already been received well by many, and with both mixes catering for slightly different tastes, there will be wide appeal for the release.
