Innate "Imod"Out Now on Baroque LimitedIt´s not often we see a single from Baroque kingpin Keith McDonnell these days, so each time a new Innate production appears, it always manages to pique my interest somewhat. Whilst´s he had a single out under his own name a little while back, the last Innate release was back in 2005 when Baroque reached it´s Half Century release, so needless to say when ´Imod´ dropped into my lap I was more than a little curious to check it out. The Original Mix is a superb tech-edged progressive track, oscillating sounds and a crazy bassline submerged right in the thick of it´s many layers of synths and linear melodies. As the energy level slowly builds, the main lead takes us through a series of subtle drops, with a solid groove led finale to top things off! German ´Jerome Isma-Ae´ makes his debut on the Baroque brand with a superb remix, fusing elements of techno and house into a slick, rolling interpretation that builds and drops with chameleon effect, constantly shape shifting, with a big key section during the latter half that takes the energy of the mix to the next level. One of the best Baroque Limited releases to date, and a welcome return for the man that is Innate. | Digg, Del.icio.us, Technorati, Blinklist, Furl, reddit Artist: InnateTitle: Imod Label: Baroque Limited By: Simon Jones | 10 May 2007 Tracklist:
