Hip Service "Badaboom Badabing"

Out Now on Audio Therapy

Having quietly made the odd appearance here and there over the last few years, the unmistakable 'Badaboom Badabing' by Hip Service finally emerges on Dave Seaman's Audio Therapy label. This Brothers In Rhythm side project has had many people questioning it's origin, with many speculating who was behind the track since it first appeared with Dave Seaman and his studio partners Steve Anderson and Alan Bremner the men behind this Balearic masterpiece.

A powerful rolling bassline pushes things forward right from the intro as the mellow chords of the 'Brothers In Rhythm Original Mix' simmer within the beats, as a large drum arrangement silences things for a massive looping guitar riff to kick off. Flamenco-esque synths wash over the riffs adding a sense of warmth to the track. Emotive chords and as the guitar kicks back in you will find it hard not to let yourself go to the beat. A track that will dazzle your senses beyond a shadow of a doubt.

'Lys & Gigs S' compliment things nicely with a cool Italian house mix that introduces big piano solos and big dubby beats to this already emotive track. Utilising only the main guitar loop and breaking it up with the rolling piano is a spark of genius on behalf of these two, and those who are into the work of Planet Funk will soak up this excellent remix by these two Italian stars.

'Badaboom Badabing' is just a mere indication of the diverse and innovative talent that forms the Brothers In Rhythm collective. Sounding as fresh today as it did all those months ago, it's another quality addition to the Audio Therapy catalogue, and commemorates the label's 10th release in fine style indeed.
