Graham & Blades "Funky Summa"

Out Now on Boz Boz Recordings

Having brought us the epic 'Real' earlier in the year, progressive heavyweights John Graham and Rowan Blades team up once again, returning with a track that has been receiving some heavy and widespread support over the last few months. Be it John Digweed, Sasha, Desyn Masiello or any other DJ you can think of, and its most probable you've heard 'Funky Summa' at 2004's Winter Music Conference and over the course of the long summer months since.

This cool house track has stood out in the sets of the aforementioned DJs for a reason, that being it sounds quite unlike a lot of other tracks that have been doing the rounds as of late. With the traditional house idea given a whole new lease of life thanks to the funky breakbeat arrangements that are scattered over the top, not to mention the electronic sounds and big guitar hooks that build subtly to a warm summer tinged breakdown, and it's hard to not be lured further and further into the track's infectious groove, a fact you well know if you've already heard this from the centre of the dancefloor.

'Funky Summa' is another massive track from Graham & Blades that will undoubtedly find it's way into the record boxes of most self respecting musical tastemakers and enthusiasts over the course of the next few weeks, so make sure you are one of the first to pick up a copy of what is regarded by many as one of the tracks of the year.
