Duran & Aytek "Searching (Remixes)"

With the original 12" containing the original and the darker Evolution Dub, Baroque went out and comissioned this extra remix 12", where they have put the two hard hitting mixes, with Evolution returning for another shot at the crown and Wrecked Angle showing they are more than pretenders to the throne. Both mixes take Duran and Aytek's 'Searching' to the next level, aiming their sights firmly at the centre of the dancefloor.

Picking up where the dub mix on the original 12" left off, Evolution return with another bass heavy 'Vocal Mix', opting for a more upbeat vibe, as the atmospherics are introduced early on in the mix. Intricate percussion slides all over the groove as beats stutter in and out, allowing the vocal to rise to the forefront before dropping back out again. Big drums, rolling bass and that intense rising vocal hook make this a winner.

Finally, 'Wrecked Angle' step up to the plate and deliver another of their tight breakbeat cuts, mixing broken beat rhythms in with the percussion, with soft melodic pads filling out the bottom end, keeping the wigging groove bouncing along at a decent pace. The vocal is just the icing on the cake so speak as Wrecked Angle continue to wreck havoc and keep the breaks purists and prog lovers alike more than happy.

Definately the more dancefloor orientated of the two 12"s, this is one potent little bomb you need in your collection right now.
