Dirty Vegas "Walk Into The Sun (King Unique Remixes)"

Out Now on Parlophone

With the success of 'Days Go By' having put Dirty Vegas firmly on the map, anticipation for their second album 'One' has been high amongst many, and with the lead single 'Walk Into The Sun' getting major radio support, bringing it to the dancefloor was seemingly quite a task, but with King Unique back in the habit, they have been commissioned to do quite so wisely with a pair of mixes that do the job with relative ease.

King Unique's 'Sunstroke Vocal Mix' takes a similar route to their recent rework of Planet Funk's 'The Switch'. Pumping house grooves, a killer bassline, filtered beats and electronic synths, and of course another excellent vocal provided by Steve Smith. Another future hit in the making for Dirty Vegas, and those KU boys once again dish up a storming mix for the dancefloors, whilst walking that fine line between commercialism and underground with style and finesse.

And of course, its almost compulsory to have a 'Dirty Dub' interpretation, and once again that's exactly what we get, as the original gets pushed through a blender and scattered into the deep groove that provides the backdrop for this chunky electronic house mix. Distorted vocals and heavy snares are thrown in for good measure, and whilst it's not that different to some of their previous dubs, it's well produced and does the job quite admirably.

Hot on the heels of their superb Planet Funk remixes, King Unique once again deliver the goods, adding a cool edge to this new single from Dirty Vegas, and ensuring that it gets all the recognition it deserves in a way that only they can.
