Descent "Addicted"

Out Now on Stellar Records

Descent is a Los Angeles based producer. He’s had many releases on Fade, Tune Inn, and even Release Records. ‘Addicted’ is a tough, driving tune with lush synths and a tripped out female voice. New comer, Adegen, remixes this into a video game frenzy, with little zippy sounds, and quirky tones.

Tight drums start the ‘Original’ off. Delayed high hats come in, as well as random hits of bell like tones. There are claps and a deep groove. The song really starts to take off right after a short break. A lovely woman’s voice rolls in with all sorts of liquidy sounds. Back into the beats, and some fun sounds come in and out playing with the beats. Trippy analog electro sounds, and very sharp sounds fall and cascade all over. There are quick changes that keep you interested. The song travels fast, and never lets up. This is a beauty with a heavy beat, and a driving sound.

Washington D.C. producer, Adegen creates a sinister nu-skool breaks remix. Starting out with her voice changed to sound a lot younger, and some trippy sounds. The breaks start in. layers of sounds wash over, as lazer zap sounds create the funky groove. A few moments in, it sounds like were part of a crazy video game. Quick changes, and stutter effects create its appeal. It’s a silly remix with a lot of potential.

Descent has done it again with a driving tune made for dance floor mayhem. Adegen’s remix will entice numerous break beat fans. This is a good release for Stellar.
