Deck Jagger "Megaforce"

Out Now on Rococo Records

Deck Jagger is the alias of a group of Finnish producer, Timo Juuti, Mika Vuorela and Toni Kurkimaki. Collectively they have already ascertained a following within the trance community with their work as Syna, capturing the attention of DJs such as Markus Schulz with their blend of emotional melodies and deep breakbeat basslines which are influenced by artists such as BT and Hybrid, but it's their debut as Deck Jagger with 'Megaforce' that is the latest release here on Rococo.

The original mix builds on the same distinct template that typifies their work as Syna, albeit presented in a less in your face style, with a deeper, more tech-edged fusion of house and breaks being the main proponent of the track. The vocal sample is taken from the obscure 1980's film of the same name, and in turn will perhaps put some DJs off playing it - thankfully there's a dub mix for the vocally challenged.

Thus far, Rococo's output across it's first four releases has seen the label touch upon many styles of music, joined by a common big room dancefloor theme, though in this instance, 'Megaforce' fails to hit the same heights that previous releases on the label attained.
