Buds Not Bombs Feat Irina "Deleido"

Out Now on Baroque Records

Buds Not Bombs comes to us from the same San Fran guys who produce as Late Night Sneaky. Having crafted their sounds on the west coast scene for 10 years or so, they are now making waves with some of their new material. 'Deleido' is their latest offering, and was snapped up by Baroque's Keith Mcdonnell almost instantly after he heard it. Here's the reason why..

The 'Original Mix' comes from the west coast collective themselves, who craft an enchating house edged number, complete with a powerful ethnic style vocal provided by Irina Mikahailova. A shapeshifting bassline and synth rhythms which swirl around the groove pull you in, with the vocal rising out of the beats with commanding presence. Whilst ethnic edged house tracks are a dime a dozen, this one adds some life to such ideas.

'Infusion' deliver the first of two mixes, with the 'Exorcism Dub' gracing this half of the package. Switching the filtered bassline of the original for a tight rippling version of their own, Infusion deliver a hypnotic and ballsy rework, building and building into the break where the vocal appears, sliding over the shaking groove underneath and back into the electronic synth-laden outro which is merely the icing on the cake.

A remix disc will round off the package, but if you want a peak time bomb to keep in the back of your record box ready to unleash on an unsuspecting dancefloor, this is it.
