Bobby Lorenz "1995"

Out Now on Slave Recordings

There's not much to tell about the mysterious Spaniard Bobby Lorenz. Little is known of this man's past, but after meeting up with D Ramirez and handing him a cdr of '1995', now gets his first release on D Ramirez's new label Slave Recordings.

Bobby's 'Original Mix' is a filthy dancefloor stomper. Frantic drums and hypnotic grooves hurtle along whilst a big vocal monologue talking about the "peeps on the street" in "1995" rises up and over the top. Chords fill out the groove, but there's no sleep inducing darkness here, just pure unadulterated filth.

'D Ramirez' brings the tribal rhythms to the dance via his 'Technofunk Mix'. A solid rolling groove cuts through the centre, and whilst the drums are what fuels this mix, which out for the twisted stabs and acid hooks that are scattered throughout. Speaker tweaking bass and ballsy attitude make this a mix that will stomp a mudhole right in the centre of the dancefloor.

Dirty dirty grooves from the label that wants to take us all captive. With more filthy big room projects like this, that will indeed be the case and you can rest assured Bobby Lorenz will be on add with future singles with which to aid the cause.
