BCML "Mr Horowitz EP (Part One)"

Out Now on Secret Planet

Ben Camp & Mat Leutwyler team up once again to chug out a release which has been doing its rounds across the globe lately. No matter which clubs you go to, what radio you listen to, if progressive is what you listen to then you are likely to have heard a track from one of the Mr Horowitz EPs.

The Original Mix of Mr Horowitz is in my opinion stronger than the remix provided on Part Two, and sets up a solid groove early on with its throbbing bassline. A filtered sub melody runs along the higher ranges, and a beautiful melody is introduced in the upper end of the composition. This creates a very positive and uplifting mood, whilst retaining its progressive edge via deep bassline rumblings and swift percussion.

More takes a bouncier approach, straying away from the uplifting madness of Mr Horowitz. Twisted effects pop up in unexpected places, and the haunting melody compliments this creating a very eerie mood. Certainly an interesting track and not something many would expect from BCML. However this is only to their credit as to not become predictable.

This highly anticipated release certainly delivers the goods, and Part Two comes complete with a Way Out West Remix and a stunning downtempo number. Mr Horowitz is a tune which has been stirring up madness lately and is sure to become a widespread favourite due to its positive uplifting energy.
