![]() WelcomePosted By: Chad Harnish on 16 February Welcome to the new [PS] Progressive-Sounds. I know its been some time since we launched the new design and we are still working hard to tighten things up. Soon we will introduce some new features for you all to play around with so keep checking back with us. If you want us to notify you, sign up to the Progressive-Sounds RSS feed. But enough about this site, lets talk about music. Updated: Paul McCorry updates us on Sasha´s pick from his interview. It is Paul Kalkbrenner´s "Ta-Tu-Tata" on BPitch Control. Thanks Paul. I would like to point you to Pete Tong´s Podcast. In researching sites to list on our Listen To page, Simon tracked down this feed. Not too long ago I had my first listen I was impressed with a few choice tracks.
Speaking of Sasha, he mentioned 2 tracks in his interview with us. We didnt post them because we were unable to confirm that we had gotten it correct. Here is how we interpreted Sasha´s 2 picks. Count Brenner´s ´Tatu Tatu´ which Sasha says is "really dark and amazing" & Digi Sanders´ ´Cheerleader Memorial.´ I am sure I am translating the second record wrong, so if anyone can correct me, please let me know. Don´t forget, you can still catch Sasha´s Fundacion 2006 U.S. residency. Legendary DJ SASHA returns to American shores in 2006 with new Fundacion residency dates, transitioning his monthly club residencies to bi-monthlies in four cities. The dates kick off January 27 at crobar in New York City, and SASHA has confirmed Fundacion again at Avalon in Los Angeles and new cities with Glow in Washington, D.C. and Vinyl in Denver throughout February, March, April and June.
I was reminded today from Ova Record´s newsletter about one of Holmes Ives´ recent LP releases. The genre splitting´Untie Me´ by Sophie & Ives was a great LP. I am also reminded of Holmes Ives presents the brilliant ´Tetrasomia´ and the soon to be released ´In the Deep´ by Jette-Ives. That is all for today. | Music Reviews -more-
