Suicide Sports Club "Last Ghost In Town"

Having spent the last few years working the dancefloors with such tracks ´Darker´ and ´Reset The Breaks´, Luke Brancaccio & Bruce Aisher have silently been moving towards a more long term goal with their Suicide Sports Club project, with the album ´Electric Mistress´. With both producers drawing influences from all corners music - from Mozart to Jim Morrison and Burt Bacharach to Phillip Glass, the album promises to be an embodiment of all these influences, and then some, and if ´The Last Ghost In Town´ is any indication of what the full album holds, then it is something to look forward to indeed.

The original ´Album Version´ has a distinct indie edge, it´s subdued beats providing an effective backdrop for Luke Brancaccio´s swaggering lead vocal. The production and instrumentation is all superb with the zoney guitar hook only being surpassed by the spine chilling piano solo.

These instrument sections are kept intact in the ´Redanka Mix´, a cool interpretation that takes the track to the centre of the dancefloor with it´s deep grooves and electronic beats. Placing emphasis on the guitar hook and making greater use of the piano line, Redanka manages to create an atmosphere that hits all the emotional lows and highs of the original and in some ways takes them to another level, and with the ´Brancaccio & Aisher Mix´ taking things further down the house route with some excellent jackin beat action and druggy rhythms complimenting the earthy vocal, it evokes a feeling of foreboding as the dark sounds wash through the speakers and onto the floor, in a downright dirty and gritty manner.

´Last Ghost´ marks an impressive debut for the Suicide Sports Club on the new label B_Rock, and paves the way perfectly for realisation of Luke and Bruce´s finest work yet when the album ´Electric Mistress´ is unveiled in the not too distant future.
